All the main UK TV channels do this in 2023 including the BBC iPlayer, ITVX, All4 and Channel 5. The main focus is to restrict access to people only physically located in the United Kingdom. So if you’re working abroad, on your holidays, moved to another country then you’re potentially always blocked from watching any of the channels online.
But fear not, of course this is the internet where these things are always sidestepped neatly and without fuss. You still can watch UK TV outside the UK or in fact anywhere in the world merely by disguising your IP address –
