Fake UK Postcodes for Watching ITVX, BBC iPlayer : How to find a fake postcode in the UK
So if you’re outside the UK and want to watch BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub and All 4 then you need two things to create an account and start watching.
- A Simple VPN like NordVPN with UK Servers
- A Valid UK Postcode (scroll down, there’s loads on this page!)
As long as you connect to a UK server before creating the account you’ll be fine. You will be asked for a UK TV license but don’t actually need one. 
You’ll also be asked for a UK address or postcode, but just read on for help. Remember it doesn’t matter where you are overseas – a decent VPN with a UK server is all you need.

You probably just want a valid UK Postcode to create an account on BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub or some other UK only site.
Well it’s not actually very difficult, in fact using the word fake is slightly misleading as a UK Postcode has to be valid. If you simply make up a postcode most websites will be able to tell. UK TV Will Localize Depending on Postcode
That’s really all there is to it, don’t get worried about being asked for a postcode. No-one’s going to check whether you live there or anything like that. My first BBC iPlayer account used in Ireland was registered to the same Postcode as Wembley Stadium and it still works perfectly.
It really doesn’t matter much which postcode you pick. Choose one of those above, your old address, a friends or just pick something online. It’s really not important or difficult and it only really has one main effect on BBC iPlayer and ITV Hub – local news and weather.
For example – if you pick a postcode from Manchester, you’ll be defaulted to the North West region for a few programmes. You’ll get Northwest news, weather reports and a couple of other small regional variations. If this matters to you pick an address from that area, although you can usually change it once you’ve set up the account anyway.
How to Setup UK Television Accounts
Don’t worry about these, they’re very simple and completely free and you can still watch UK TV everywhere. In fact the user accounts are more to make the sites easy to use. They’ll remember which programmes you’ve watched, your preferences and suggest shows you might like.
ITVX Registration
Nothing complicated, they want an email address, age, name and address plus a valid UK postcode (only check is on postcode). Make sure the post code is valid and the email address works.
BBC iPlayer Registration
Again quite straight forward, first they’ll ask you if you’re over 13 as an age verification check. Although I’m sure many under 13s will figure out how to beat that one! After you’ll just need a valid email address then enter gender and postcode.
There is one more step which occurs at different times with the BBC iPlayer site – you’ll be asked for a UK TV license. You may have one if you’re travelling or not if you don’t live permanently outside the UK.
You have to say YES to this or the site won’t work.
There is no check, no validation or anything like that – just say YES and you can watch anything and everything. If you can’t bring yourself to fib at this point I’m afraid you’ve wasted your time. Unfortunately there is no legitimate way to buy a UK TV license outside the UK.
Do I Need a Seperate ITVX Postcode?
No, you can use exactly the same postcode for ITVX as you do with BBC iPlayer. You can use any UK postcode for ITV as long as it actually exists, no proof of address is required.
